Attention all 3rd grade students!  Do you like to draw?  Are there places in Park Ridge that matter to you?

The City of Park Ridge is holding its 4th annual Historic Preservation Poster Contest and you're invited!  Posters should show a building or structure in Park Ridge that is important to YOU. Rules and entry forms have been distributed to all elementary schools in Park Ridge, are available at City Hall in the foyer or Community Preservation Department or on our website at www.parkridge.us.

The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) hopes to increase awareness of its importance in our community.   Entries are due by Friday, March 28, 2014 in the Community Preservation Department at City Hall (second floor).   Judging will occur on April 2.  Winning entries will be displayed in prominent locations in Park Ridge throughout May which is Historic Preservation Month. Winners and their families will be invited to attend an awards ceremony at the City Council’s meeting on Monday, May 5, 2014 at City Hall. Please call 847/318-5291 with any questions.
