City Seeks Volunteers for Various Boards and Commissions

Applications are now being accepted for the O’Hare Airport (1); Historic Preservation (2); Board of Fire and Police (3); Appearance (1); and Civil Service (1) Board/Commission

 

Interested individuals should complete an application which is available on the City’s website at www.parkridge.us.  Choose the “Our Government” tab and access the Boards and Commissions Application Form on the right side of the webpage.  A hard-copy form is also available in the lobby at City Hall.  Your application and resume should be returned to the Clerk’s office at City Hall by email, cpeterso@parkridge.us or by fax, 847/318-5300.  After your application is reviewed  based on qualifications, you will be contacted by Deputy Clerk Peterson to set up a brief interview with the Mayor’s Advisory Board who deliberates and communicate its recommendation(s) to the Mayor.  Please note that as of January 18, 2016, any applicant over 18 years of age whose name has been recommended to the Mayor for appointment will be required to undergo a non-fingerprint criminal background check.  Information regarding the process is included with the application.   

 

Volunteers are an essential part of and a precious resource in our great City.  By donating your time and talent, you are contributing to the spirit of volunteerism within the community, making Park Ridge a better place to live and work.

 

The Mayor’s Advisory Board is chaired by Alderman Daniel Knight and also includes Aldermen Marc Mazzuca, Nicholas Milissis, and Roger Shubert.
