Currently, there are two seats open on the O’Hare Airport Commission (3-year term) and one opening for a student commissioner on the Youth Commission (1-year term). In September, there will be two vacant seats on the Planning and Zoning Commission (4-year term), and in December, the Zoning Board of Appeals (5-year term) will have two vacancies.
Interested individuals are encouraged to complete an application which is available on the City’s website at www.parkridge.us, choosing the Our Government tab, and accessing the Application Form for Board, Commission, Committee or Task Force, located on the right side of the webpage or a hard-copy can be obtained in the lobby at City Hall. Completed applications should be returned along with a resume to Deputy Clerk Cheryl Peterson at email@example.com or by fax, 847/318-5300.
You will be contacted by Deputy Clerk Peterson to arrange a brief interview with the Mayor’s Advisory Board on a Monday evening between 6:00p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The Mayor’s Advisory Board will deliberate and make a decision of recommendation to Mayor Schmidt.
The Mayor’s Advisory Board is chaired by Alderman Maloney and also includes Aldermen Daniel Knight, Marc Mazzuca, and Nicholas Milissis.
