City applies for grants for flood control projects
The City of Park Ridge through its consultants, Christopher B. Burke Engineering, has applied for approximately $27 million dollars in grants from the Governor’s office of the State of Illinois. These grants are for potential flood control / mitigation projects that are on the City’s comprehensive sewer improvement / flood reduction program.
These projects include Mayfield Estates, Stewart/Warren/Engel/Western, Burton/Fenton, the Country Club area, Overhill/Lahon and Northwest Park areas.
The Park Ridge Public Works Department applies for every available grant and will continue to look for other avenues for financial assistance for sewer improvements.
