The City Manager oversees the operations of all City departments and is responsible for the management of all governmental operations. He receives direction from and provides recommendations to the Mayor and City Council.
The City Attorney advises the City Council, City Manager and staff on all matters pertaining to the legal affairs of the City. He also prepares legal documents, City ordinances, and contracts.
Public Information keeps citizens informed about current City issues and projects; produces the City newsletter, The Spokesman; maintains the City Internet home page (www.parkridge.us) and prepares other types of communications as needed.
Economic Development promotes economic development in the business community by encouraging business retention and business attraction which should result in increased property tax and sales tax revenue, lower unemployment rates, and a stable economic base.
Human Resources hires well qualified employees and establishes policies and procedures that encourage employees to maximize their contributions to the achievement of city objectives.
Information Technology coordinates the operation of the city wide computer systems, manages and administers the City-wide area network, and provides training and support for these systems.
