The City Manager oversees the operations of all City departments and is responsible for the management of all governmental operations. Acting City Manager Joe Gilmore receives direction from and provides recommendations to the Mayor and City Council. The Administrative Services Department is also under the direction of the City Manager.
The following are the divisions of the Administrative Services Department:
The City Attorney advises the City Council, City Manager and staff on all matters pertaining to the legal affairs of the City. The City Attorney also prepares legal documents, City ordinances, and contracts.
Human Resources hires well qualified employees and establishes policies and procedures that encourage employees to maximize their contributions to the achievement of city objectives.
Information Technology coordinates the operation of the city wide computer systems, manages and administers the City-wide area network, and provides training and support for these systems.
keeps citizens informed about current City issues and projects; produces the City newsletter, The Spokesman;
maintains the City Internet home page (www.parkridge.us
) and prepares other types of communications as needed.
