City moves forward to fill Seventh Ward Aldermanic vacancy

The City of Park Ridge is moving forward with its search for a Seventh Ward Alderman.  The seat was vacated after Mayor Maloney was elected Mayor of the City in April.

According to Mayor Maloney, seven residents have volunteered to serve on the interview committee.  While the Mayor will serve as the Committee’s Chairman, the following Seventh Ward residents will take part in the interview process:  Jennifer Healy, Matt Laske, Joan Bende, Robert Leach, Dick Barton, Missy Langan, and Thomas Russell.

Any Seventh Ward resident who wished to serve as Alderman was asked to submit a letter of interest to the City by May 15.   According to Deputy Clerk Peterson, she has received four letters from interested individuals.  Interviews have been scheduled on May 31 beginning at 7:00 p.m. for the following candidates:  Martin Joyce, Michael Malatesta, Jon Duddles, and Jeremy Lefler.

The City will post an agenda for this meeting which is open to the public.
