City Wide Flooding

The City is currently experiencing area-wide flooding due to the heavy rains we have sustained for the past 18 hours. Streets are flooded and some are impassable.  Greenwood is closed between Touhy and Oakton.   Please stay in your homes unless you absolutely need to go out.  Travel by car can be dangerous at this time.

The National Weather Service is forecasting additional heavy rain today.

The City is doing everything possible to mitigate the flooding.  If you are experiencing flooding in your basement, please do not go down into the water.  Call 9-1-1 if you see any sparks, flames, or smell natural gas.  The City cannot pump out flooded basements.

If water levels are rising in your home to the first floor, please evacuate your home.  The Park Ridge Library is open and available as a temporary shelter.  The City is working to open additional shelter facilities if needed.

The City will be providing more information shortly.

For Non-Emergency information, please call  847-318-6721.  IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY, PLEASE CALL 9-1-1.
