Park Ridge, Illinois, is a picturesque suburb located 14 miles northwest of downtown Chicago, in a key geographic location close to O'Hare Airport, major expressways and rail transportation. Founded in 1873, Park Ridge is home to nearly 38,000 residents and boasts of outstanding schools, parks, medical services and numerous churches. Our community enjoys a diversified restaurant and retail scene.
The most significant redevelopment project in recent Park Ridge history was completed in 2009, creating the Residences & Shops of Uptown. Complimenting the new development are the Park Ridge Public Library, the landmark Pickwick Theatre and the City’s main Metra train station, making the center of Park Ridge a charming and inviting place. Other major shopping areas in Park Ridge are the South Park shopping district along Devon Avenue, and the Dee Park area along Oakton Avenue.
