Cook County Hazard Mitigation Plan Public Meetings On May 29
The Cook County Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management is hosting another round of public meetings for the general public to view and comment on the county’s Hazard Mitigation Plan. You are encouraged to attend to learn more about how the City of Park Ridge is working with Cook County to prepare for natural and man-made hazards.
A computer workstation will be available to show you which natural hazards have the potential to affect your property. You can also view maps of Cook County depicting the location and extent of the natural hazards.
The draft hazard mitigation plan is available for public review and comment on the project website. Residents can read the chapter prepared by their community and provide input on the identified mitigation actions, as well as other information to be found in the draft plan. The meeting location closest to Park Ridge will be held at the Glenview Police Station at 2500 East Lake Avenue in Glenview, IL on Thursday May 29 from 6:30-7:30 P.M.
Additionally, you can go to the following website to take a brief survey that will help us tailor this mitigation plan to the needs of you and your community.
