The Finance Department provides a system that preserves and enhances the financial condition of the City; creates, implements and maintains an effective accounting system and financial reports; and collects all funds due to the City. The Finance Department is responsible for records control, accounting, purchasing, and collection of all license fees, water billings and traffic fines.

The Finance Department prepares the City's budget document (the working plan for the operation of the City), after which the City Council determines the final budget document and the allocation of resources it represents.  The Finance Department is managed by Director of Finance, Joe Gilmore.
