POLICE RECORDS TECHNICIAN

Part-Time

 

The City of Park Ridge's Police Department is seeking applicants for the part-time position of Police Records Technician. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing accurate data-entry for a high volume of police reports; auditing for quality control; responding to internal and external requests (FOIA requests, records checks, & traffic crash reports, etc.) in a timely manner and other specialized administrative duties as assigned. Minimal requirements include: HS diploma/GED, 1 to 2 years of related experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access), and the ability to obtain LEADS certification within 6 months of employment. Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm required. Must be detailed-oriented, organized, and able to work independently. Excellent customer service skills are a must. Familiarity with Law Enforcement and/or related work experience preferred, but not required. General work hours include: Monday thru Friday, 25 to 29 hours per week. Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) eligible. Starting hourly rate is $19.98. Position is open until filled.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Part-Time

 

The City of Park Ridge's Community Preservation & Development Department is seeking applicants for the part-time position of Administrative Assistant. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, answering/directing phone calls, scheduling inspections, interfacing with the general public, data entry & data management, developing & preparing reports, and responding to internal & external requests in a timely manner. Must be detailed-oriented, organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Minimum requirements include: HS diploma/GED, 3 to 4 years of related experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access). Experience working with building permits, building terminology and/or zoning preferred, but not required. Excellent customer service skills required. General work hours include: Monday thru Friday, 20 to 25 hours per week. Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) eligible. Position may require evening hours to attend and to take minutes for City  Commissions and/or Committees. Starting hourly rate is $21.43. Position open until filled.

PLANS EXAMINER/INSPECTOR

Seasonal

 

The City of Park Ridge's Community Preservation & Development Department is seeking applicants for seasonal Plans Examiner/Inspector positions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, conducting plan reviews for compliance with municipal building & zoning codes; performing inspections for structural, mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing installations in new construction and/or remodels of commercial & residential structures; responding to building-related inquiries and resolving complaints. This position requires frequent interaction with contractors, business owners, and homeowners. Excellent customer service skills required. General knowledge of permitting, zoning, and building preferred. Minimum requirements include: 3 to 5 years of related experience, valid State Driver's License, and HS diploma/GED. ICC certifications preferred, but not required. Flexible work schedule: Monday - Saturday. Average weekly work hours range up to 37.5hrs/wk, plus eligibility for overtime during busy seasons (annual work hours will not exceed 1,000). Starting hourly rate is $28.71. Positions are open until filled.

The City of Park Ridge's Police Department is seeking applicants for the part-time position of Police Information Technician in the event of a future vacancy. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, work of moderate to complex difficulty involving typing, filing, data entry, answering/directing phone calls, and interacting with the general public. LEADS certification and/or familiarity with law enforcement preferred. Excellent customer service skills are a must. Strong written and organizational skills required. Experience in record keeping, customer service, and/or public safety administration a plus. High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Scheduled hours vary to any hour or day of the week. Majority of work hours will include: weekends, holidays, and nights. Starting hourly rate is $14.71.
