VOLUNTEER PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Part-Time

 

The City of Park Ridge's Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the part-time position of Volunteer Program Coordinator. Under the direction of the Police Chief and his designee, this position works collaboratively with individuals and groups to develop, coordinate, maintain, and support the city's volunteer program. Duties include, but are not limited to: establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with city departments and local, county, state and federal agencies, the various city volunteer groups and other entities for purposes of coordinating efforts and enhancing the city's services. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the abilities to multi-task. Excellent writing and communications skills are required. Experience in working with community groups and organizations preferred. Experience in organizing and motivating groups of individuals is a plus. General knowledge of municipal government preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license. Flexible work hours. Average weekly work hours range 10-15 per week. Non-benefits eligible position. Starting hourly rate range is $15-$17 depending on experience and qualifications. Position is available until filled.

FINANCIAL ANALYST

Full-Time

 

The City of Park Ridge's Finance Department is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Financial Analyst. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, designing and producing reports for budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting; monitoring budgeted account balances; preparing budget transfers, amendments, & PO changes; researching and analyzing revenue and expenditure data for variances and trends; assisting in the completion of the annual budget and the City's annual audit. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, and/or other related field required. Minimum 2-3 years' experience required. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel required. Salary midpoint for position is $61,551 (starting salary +/- depending on experience and qualifications), plus benefits. Position is available until filled.

ENTRY LEVEL POLICE OFFICER

The City of Park Ridge's Police Department is seeking applicants for the part-time position of Police Information Technician. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, work of moderate to complex difficulty involving typing, filing, data entry, answering/directing phone calls, and interacting with the general public. Excellent customer service skills are a must. Strong written and organizational skills required. Experience in record keeping, customer service, and/or public safety administration a plus. High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Scheduled hours vary to any hour or day of the week. Majority of work hours will include: weekends, holidays, and nights. Starting hourly rate is $14.71.

PLANS EXAMINER/INSPECTOR
On-Call/Part-Time
 

The City of Park Ridge is accepting applications for on-call Plans Examiner/Inspectors. The City is seeking on-call inspectors to perform structural, electrical, HVAC, Energy and plumbing inspections on an as needed basis. Candidates should have experience with the principles and practices of plumbing and electrical installations and in all aspects of residential and commercial construction. Prior experience with planning and inspections is required. The successful candidate will have knowledge of ICC codes and NEC electrical code inspection practices and procedures. State of Illinois licensed plumber is highly desirable and required for certain inspections. Starting hourly rate is $28.71.
