COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER

Full-time

The Park Ridge Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Community Service Officer.  Under general supervision, this position performs a wide variety of specialized and technical non-sworn law enforcement duties in support of Police and Fire Department personnel including parking enforcement, traffic and animal control, special events staffing, and other areas as assigned.  In addition, the position provides information and assistance to the general public, answers citizen inquiries and performs a variety of other non-sworn law enforcement, clerical, and administrative functions.

Minimum requirements include: High School diploma or GED, 1 to 2 years of related experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).  Ability to obtain LEADS certification within 6 months of employment.  Must have a valid State Driver's License. 

Starting salary is $43,052 plus benefits. Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) eligible. Position is available until filled.

SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Full-time

The City of Park Ridge's Finance Department is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Senior Administrative Assistant, reporting to the Finance Director. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining confidential files; developing, preparing and proof reading documents; compiling, editing and printing the annual budget document; answering and directing phone calls; scheduling; web-editing; data entry and data management; assisting with special projects; and interacting with the general public.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 3-4 years of related experience.  Professionalism in handling confidential matters and materials is required. Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment.  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio and Publisher) required.  Excellent customer service skills are a must.  General work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Position requires evening hours to attend and to take minutes for Finance Committee Meetings and Budget Workshops.  Starting annual salary is $42,199+, dependent on qualifications, plus benefits. Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) eligible. Position is available until filled.

SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD
Part-Time

Under general supervision, performs duties associated with assuring the safety of children at designated street crossings. High school diploma or GED (desirable). Will train.  Starting rate is $14.25/hour.
