ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES MANAGER

Full-Time

 

The City of Park Ridge seeks motivated applicants for the professional position of Administrative Services Manager. This position reports to the City Manager and has a dual focus, Human Resources and Strategic Project Management.

This role oversees the City's Human Resources function. Experience in employee and labor relations, specifically with multiple public sector unions, with regard to contract negotiations and grievance procedures is required.  Knowledge of workers compensation, benefits management, FMLA, and pension administration, as well as the ability to coach and develop employees throughout the organization, is necessary.

In addition, the Administrative Services Manager assists in the implementation of the City's Strategic Plan; provides project management oversight and accountability for organization wide projects to include: visioning, securing City Council authority, contracting, expenditure tracking, and post completion review. The manager serves as the organization's Central Service Administrator to identify and implement systems and processes to improve efficiency, utilization, and consistency.

Minimum requirements include: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Public or Business Administration, Psychology or related field, six years of progressively responsible municipal experience, including four years supervisory experience. SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CLRP, IPMA-CP, or other professional human resources certification required. Must have previous experience in public sector human resources administration and project management. Master's Degree preferred.

General work hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Starting salary is $113,025 +/- depending on qualifications, plus benefits. Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) eligible. Position open until filled.
