Grilling for the Arts Fundraiser Event July 28

On July 28, Mayor Maloney and the Park Ridge City Council along with Whole Foods Market in Park Ridge, will hold its 6th Annual Grilling for the Arts fundraiser in memory of the late Mayor Dave  Schmidt and Alderman Dan Knight.

The Elected Officials and a group of volunteers will be grilling up burgers and hot dogs to raise money for a great organization, the Park Ridge Fine Arts Society.

We wish to thank and recognize Whole Foods Market in Park Ridge for its continued support through its substantial food donations which make this event possible.  Whole Foods has been a valued partner in this event for years.

“Mayor Schmidt and Alderman Knight were welcome visitors to our store and became friends to many of our team members.  We are especially proud to be able to support the Arts in Park Ridge in their honor,” said Nancy LaBreacht, Senior Marketing Specialist for Whole Foods Market.

Although there is no stated charge, your generous donation will be sincerely appreciated.   All proceeds from this event are donated to the Park Ridge Fine Arts Society (PRFAS) so that residents, friends, and visitors can continue to enjoy the fine music the PRFAS provides each summer.

The Friday Night Concerts in the Park were loved and supported by Mayor Schmidt and Alderman Knight and that is why they began this tradition six years ago to support the Fine Arts Society.

The City Council looks forward to continuing this tradition that Dave and Dan started many years ago.

Please join us on July 28 in the front of City Hall beginning at 5:30 pm.
