Jim Brown named Community Preservation and Development Director

Acting City Manager Joe Gilmore announced today that Jim Brown has been named Community Preservation and Development Director.  According to Acting City Manager Gilmore, “Jim has done well as interim Director over the past four months learning the roles and responsibilities of the department and City.  His experience as the former Director of Planning and Economic Development at the Village of Lemont, the Community Development Director at the City of Freeport, and an Associate Planner at Teska Associates will be a valuable asset to the City of Park Ridge.” 

Brown is a proud U.S. Army retiree with proven leadership and management skills as an Operations Coordinator at U.S. Embassies throughout Africa.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Augustana College and a Master of Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois, Chicago.
