Street Sweeping

City streets are swept on a rotating basis. The current time between sweeping cycles is approximately 2 to 3 weeks, depending upon weather conditions. Sweeping occurs more often in the spring and fall. No sweeping is done when the temperature drops below freezing or when it is raining.

 

Depending upon weather conditions, the following areas are scheduled for street sweeping the week of September 7, 2010:

 

Area 4 - Oakton to Cherry, Riverside to Dee Road

Area 5 - Oakton to Busse, Dee Road to Greenwood

Area 8 - Busse to Touhy, Dee Road to Busse

Area 9 - Touhy to Belle Plaine, Dee Road to Greenwood
