Mayor Schmidt Declares State of Civil Emergency
The week of April 15-19th has brought an unprecedented flooding situation to the City of Park Ridge. The tens of millions of dollars of property damage that has been caused threatens the welfare of our residents. These threats are of such magnitude as to require extraordinary efforts from our local first responders and public works personnel and the need of emergency aid and services from the county, state and federal disaster and relief agencies.
Pursuant to the obligations resting with me, as Mayor of the City of Park Ridge, I find and declare that a CIVIL EMERGENCY exists in the City according to the definition set forth in Section 3-1-8 of the City of Park Ridge Municipal Code.
