Volunteers Sought to Serve on Various City Boards and Commissions
March 5, 2014 03:55 PM
Many times, Mayor Schmidt has referred to our Board and Commission members being the backbone of the City and that the City could not function without their help. Now, you too, can apply to serve your City. Interested residents are encouraged to complete an Application Form for Board, Commission, Committee or Task Force, available in the lobby area at City Hall or on our website at www.parkridge.us. Return your completed application to Deputy City Clerk Peterson in person at City Hall or email your application.
Several upcoming commission openings will be available which include the Community Health Commission (3), Historic Preservation (1), Fair Housing (3), Animal (1), and Library Board (3). Once your application is received, you will be contacted to arrange a brief interview with the Mayor’s Advisory Board at which time they would decide on their recommendation to the Mayor. The Board is chaired by Alderman Marty Maloney and also includes Aldermen Daniel Knight, Marc Mazzuca, and Nicholas Milissis.
