Not too late for Residents to Switch who Already Chose an Alternative Electrical Supplier
Many residents recently received a letter from Mayor Schmidt explaining the Electricity Aggregation Program. Informational letters were sent only to those residents and small business that currently have ComEd as their electricity supplier. The passage of the Electricity Aggregation Referendum in March 2012 allowed for current ComEd customers in Park Ridge to be automatically “opted in” to the mc2 program. If they chose to “opt-out”, they would need to return the postcard enclosed in their envelope.
Residents who had previously chosen an alternative supplier would not have received a letter. Because they already chose an alternate supplier, their service would not change unless they choose to take steps to make the switch to mc2. Should you wish to join the City’s program with mc2, please contact 888-808-7731. Please be aware that making the switch may include termination fees from your current supplier.
