City Seeks Volunteers for O’Hare Airport Commission

The City is currently seeking residents who would like to volunteer and offer their service by representing the O’Hare Airport Commission.   The Commission’s objective is to provide a forum for public discussion and serve as an advocate for reasonable sound and environmental levels associated with flights flying to and from O’Hare Airport over Park Ridge. The Commission conducts research; educates the public; and advocates for improvements.  Members meet in the Council Chambers at City Hall on the third Wednesday every other month at 7 pm.

Volunteers are an essential part of and a precious resource in our great City.  By donating your time and talent, you are contributing to the spirit of volunteerism within the community, making Park Ridge a better place to live and work.

To find out more information about a Board or Commission or to complete an application, please visit our website at www.parkridge.us.  Choose the “Our Government” tab and access the Boards and Commissions Application Form on the right side of the webpage.  A hard-copy is available in the lobby at City Hall.  To be considered, your application, and resume, if available, should be returned to Deputy Clerk Peterson at cpeterso@parkridge.us or by fax, 847/318-5300 before September 8.  She will contact you to set up a brief interview with the Mayor’s Advisory Board in regards to your interest to volunteer.  The Mayor’s Advisory Board, consisting of Chairman Daniel Knight, Ald. Marc Mazzuca, Ald. Nicholas Milissis, and Ald. Roger Shubert, recommend the appointments to Acting Mayor Maloney.
