Overdose Education & Naloxone Distribution Training

The Park Ridge Opioid Advisory Group will present a community education training session on August 30, 2018 coinciding with the International Overdose Awareness week.  The presentation  will provide overdose education and Naloxone injection training.  The Illinois Department of Public Health projects that 2,155 Illinois residents will die from an accidental overdose in 2018.  In an effort to prevent overdose, advocates are banning together to train 2,155 on overdose prevention and reversal strategies, and equip people who need Narcan with a free kit.  Training will be held on August 30, 2018 at the Park Ridge Nonprofit Center at both 1:00pm or 6:00pm.  The Center is located at 720 Garden Street, Park Ridge.
