Park Ridge Police: 2900 block of W. Oakton Suspicious Death

On Thursday afternoon February 2nd, 2012 the body of an unknown white male was found in the wooded area in the 2900 block of W. Oakton Street in Park Ridge. The deceased was discovered by a male white in his 40’s, who was walking his dog through the woods.

 

The dog walker contacted Park Ridge Police via phone, who responded to the scene at 2:57 PM. Arriving officers found a heavy set male white of an unknown age slumped over a log at the heavily wooded scene. Due to decomposition, a positive identification could not be made at the scene, and the Park Ridge Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the identity and cause of death. The deceased has been transported to the morgue where an autopsy is scheduled to be performed on February 3rd. Park Ridge Police Officers and Detectives are continuing to investigate the death at this time.
