Park Ridge Police Are Working Hard to Arrest Residential Burglars

On April 8, 2014 Park Ridge Police Investigators, along with officers from the Illinois State Police Ruse Burglary Task Force, arrested two individuals for allegedly committing a ruse, residential burglary which occurred March 4, 2014 in the area of 1300 Good in Park Ridge. Jim Mitchell, 48 years of age and Christina Yobnovich, 43 years of age both from the 3748 W. Addison, Chicago IL were each charged with one count of Residential Burglary, a class 1 Felony. The two are alleged to have worked together in a coordinated effort, deceiving the homeowner in an effort to gain access to the residence and to commit a theft.

Both subjects were taken for bond hearings and have a preliminary court date of April 18, 2014 at 1:30 pm in the Skokie Court Building. These arrests demonstrate the department’s priority in regards to reducing burglaries, specifically those committed using deception and involving the abuse of trust granted by the homeowner. In addition, these arrests illustrate the cooperation that exists between law enforcement agencies who all work together towards this common goal.
