Park Ridge Police Arrest Hit and Run Driver
On March 21, 2012 at approximately 5:22 pm, Park Ridge Police responded to a hit and run vehicle crash at Oakton Street and Delphia Avenue. Upon arrival, officers learned that a white Audi crashed into the rear of a Volvo waiting in traffic and, in turn, caused the Volvo to crash into a Dodge Caravan waiting in traffic in front of him. The driver of the Audi then left the area at a high rate of speed without providing any information. Several minutes later, the Park Ridge Police Department were notified by Niles Police that they, too, received a report of a three car hit and run involving an Audi. Both police agencies broadcast an area wide message and officers from the Skokie Police Department located the offending vehicle and stopped it near 5520 Touhy, Skokie.
Niles Police took Jasmarie Andrade, F/W 09/13/1985 of Chicago into custody and processed her for the hit in run occurring in their jurisdiction. After she was released by Niles Police, the Park Ridge Police Department arrested her for the hit and run which occurred at Oakton and Delphia. She was charged with Leaving the scene of an accident and failure to reduce speed.
