Park Ridge Police Department and MCYAF are Seeking Volunteers for the Parent Patrol

Together, the Park Ridge Police Department and the Maine Community Youth Assistance Foundation (MCYAF) are seeking additional volunteers for the Park Ridge Parent Patrol. Initiated in May 2011, the Parent Patrol Program is designed to connect community adults and youth in an effort to reduce underage drinking and the resultant poor decisions that often follow. Through the program, volunteer patrollers will have the opportunity to observe the police departments’ response to underage drinking parties as well as provide participants a unique view of the challenges faced when dealing with these types of calls. Anyone interested in volunteering for the Park Ridge Parent Patrol Program or anyone who would like additional information should contact Police Chief Frank Kaminski at (847) 318-5252 or at his email, fkaminski@parkridgepolice.org. New volunteer training is scheduled for April 24, 2012, from    7 p.m. to approximately 8 p.m., at the Park Ridge Public Works facility. Anyone interested is requested to pre-register.
