Park Ridge to host Thirteenth National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 1st in Hodges Park

On Tuesday, August 1, 2017, the Park Ridge Police Department will join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the“34th Annual National Night Out” (NNO) crime and drug prevention event. This will be the department’s thirteenth year participating. The Honorary Master of Ceremonies will be: Gary K. Warner of Honor Flight Chicago. This year’s premier event sponsor will be Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.

National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and to send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Come out for a night of family friendly activities including a free raffle, bounce houses, petting zoo, pony rides and there will also be plenty of safety information and community vendors on hand. All at no cost.

The Park Ridge Police Department will be sponsoring this event on Tuesday, August 1st in Hodges Park (located in front of City Hall) from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Residents are asked to turn on their porch lights to support National Night Out from 7:00 pm to 10:00.
