Meetings and Commissions
Animal Commission
The Animal Commission consists of three members appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of City Council.
Each Commissioner will serve a three-year term or until his or her successor has been appointed. The objective of the Animal Commission will be to make determinations regarding whether a particular animal is a Dangerous animal or At-Risk animal, as defined by Article 5, Chapter 8, Section 1 of the Park Ridge Municipal Code. The Commission will review information submitted by the Police Chief or his designee regarding a particular animal at an open meeting. After review, the Commission will determine whether the animal is a Dangerous animal or At-Risk animal.
The Commission has decided to hold meetings when necessary, on the first or third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. and will review only “signed” complaints for dog bites. Click here to review meeting information.
