Police Chaplains

Law Enforcement Chaplains offer comfort, prayer, guidance, wisdom, common sense and expertise to members of the Park Ridge Police Department, their families, and the community at large. When there is an unexpected death, a victim/survivor of a violent crime, or a domestic dispute, our professionally trained chaplains are a resource to the community in their time of need. During times of crisis, the Chaplain/Clergy Team is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, to aid our citizens or just to be a ministry of presence.  If you are in need of a Park Ridge Police Chaplain,  please call (847) 318-5252.

Our Chaplains do the following:

  • Assist in death notifications
  • Assist at suicide incidents
  • Deal with domestic disputes
  • Serve as a member of the Crisis Response Team
  • Serve as liaison with other clergy in the community
  • Counsel police officers and other members of the department
  • Counsel the families of police officers
  • Visit sick and injured officers and departmental personnel
  • Offer guidance to police officers and departmental personnel in areas such as stress management, ethics, family life, and pre-retirement
  • Host a variety of events
  • Go on ride-a-longs with police officers
  • Furnish expert answers for religious questions
  • Offer prayers when requested at times of need and on special occasions
