Police Department: Town Hall Meeting April 3, 2012

Join the Park Ridge Police Department, MCYAF and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office for a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Park Ridge City Hall
Park Ridge Police will present Kids, Cops and Cars. Learn aboutdistracted driving, the new seatbelt law, and what not to do if stopped by the police.
MCYAF, the Maine Community Youth Assistance Foundation, will talk about Underage Drinking and Teen Parties. You’ll hear information on local trends in alcohol use by teens, who’s drinking, where, when and why.  In addition, MCYAF will highlight the progress being made to address teen substance use…what’s working and what we need to do better. Finally, they will have advice for parents about how to raise healthy kids and keep them safe.
We will also be joined by Sarah Migas, Internet Safety Specialist from the Office of the Illinois Attorney General, who will present How to be a Good Digital Citizen including how to think critically and act responsibly in a digital world of Facebook, Twitter, blogs and more.
