Police Respond to an Armed Robbery in the 2300 W. block of Touhy Ave

On Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at approximately 5:40 am, Park Ridge Police responded to the 2300 W. block of Touhy Ave. for the report of an Armed Robbery at the Shell Gas Station.  Upon arrival, officers met with the victim (store clerk) who related that a Male White, wearing all dark clothing with a black ski mask and gloves confronted the clerk as he was preparing to open the station.  The male suspect displayed  an unknown type of silver handgun and directed the clerk to give him the money and he would not get hurt.  The clerk went to the register and removed approximately $100.00 cash.  The clerk was left unharmed when the suspect fled the area by unknown means.  Investigators are currently following up on the incident.  Further information will be released when it is available.  Contact Deputy Chief Duane Mellema at (847) 318-5276 or dmellema@parkridgepolice.org for further information.
