Police Seeking Suspicious Man

On Monday April 30, 2018 Park Ridge Police responded to two separate incidents in the 800 and 900 South blocks of Western Avenue  involving an unknown male white, described as 5’10”-6’00” tall, medium build with brown hair and beard growth wearing black jeans and a long sleeved black shirt.

In the first incident, occurred at approximately 3:15 pm in the 800 S. Block of Western, when a 13 year old female was approached on foot by the male suspect who attempted to engage her in conversation, and commented on her looks.  The victim, did not engage the suspect, who fled the area when the victim made her way toward a residence.

The second incident, occurred at approximately 4:40 pm in the 900 S. Block of Western , when a 57 year old female, who was on foot, was approached by the male suspect, who was driving a silver Honda.  The suspect commented to the victim about her looks and propositioned her to engage in sexual acts with him, which she declined.  The male white suspect fled from the area to the East and South.

Park Ridge Police are investigating these incidents as being related, due to the description of the offender and key language phrases used, when attempting to interact with the victims.  Investigators are following-up on all leads, and officers are being assigned to the areas around schools during arrival and dismissal times.  Police are asking people to be vigilant and report any similar suspicious activity to them immediately.
