Preparing for the March 18 Gubernatorial Primary Election
February 13, 2014 10:44 AM
You must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old by the general election, and a resident of your precinct at least 30 days prior to Election Day. You must also provide two pieces of identification, neither of which needs to be a photo ID, but one must include your current address.
Once again, Park Ridge City Hall will serve as an Early Voting site March 3 through 15, Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Any person who is registered to vote and lives in suburban Cook County is able to take advantage of Early Voting.
If your schedule prevents you from voting during the Early Voting period or on Election Day March 18, 2014, you can take advantage of Voting by Mail. Applications are available at City Hall, online at the Cook County Clerk’s Office website, or you can request an application by calling the City Clerk’s office at 847/318-5204. Your application must be mailed to the Cook County Clerk’s Office and received by March 13, 2014. They will verify your registration, process your application, and send a paper ballot to the mailing address you designate on your application.
Please call Clerk Henneman’s office at 847/318-5204 for assistance with any voting related matter. You may also visit the Cook County Clerk’s website at www.cookcountyclerk.com to download an Absentee Ballot application, check your voter registration status, find your polling location or view a sample ballot.
