President Obama Declares Cook County a Disaster Area
President Obama has declared Cook County as a disaster area due to the extensive flooding in the area last month. This news comes one day after Gov. Pat Quinn urged the President to move expeditiously on the matter. Grants and low-interest loans are available for Park Ridge businesses and residents to help clean up or repair damaged property.
Park Ridge residents and businesses affected by the flood of April 18-19 are strongly encouraged to call the FEMA Assistance Hotline at 800-621-FEMA (3362) between 7am - 10 pm daily (until further notice) or visit the FEMA website at www.disasterassistance.gov to apply on-line.
