Snow shoveling volunteers still needed

City Hall received many calls from residents looking for shoveling assistance due to age or medical disabilities.  Currently, Park Ridge is suggesting those who call to contact local landscapers who offer snow removal services, which it will continue to do until more volunteers sign up to shovel snow.

In an attempt to rebuild the volunteer list, the City is seeking individuals or youth organizations who would like to offer snow shoveling services.  It’s a great way to accumulate community service hours and possibly earn a few dollars!

If you require snow shoveling assistance or would like to volunteer to shovel snow for a resident in the Ward in which you live, please call 847/318-5464 or 847/318-6721.  The City will connect the two parties and any arrangements made are strictly between the resident and the volunteer.  Snow shoveling is not a service provided by the City.
