The City of Park Ridge is proactively preparing for this impending winter storm.

The City Manager is coordinating the Public Works staff and Public Safety departments and to ensure the plowing of streets and emergency needs of residents.

The following is an outline of those procedures:

1. All department directors are in constant communication to provide for unified command and adequate public information.

2. Messages will also be posted on the City website at www.parkridge.us

3. A Patrol Officer will be utilized as a desk officer to take reports at the station if we get too busy.

4.  Patrol Division will handle snow command and issue citations for parking violations and tow vehicles as necessary.

5. The Senior Center (100 S. Western Avenue) may be used as a warming center.

6. The Fire Department will have additional personnel on duty if necessary to ensure adequate response to all emergencies.

We ask all residents for their cooperation by keeping their vehicles off City streets after snowfall. Inquires should be directed to the Public Works department at 847-318-5240.
