2017 Teen Police Academy

The Park Ridge Police Department continues its work building positive relationships between teens and law enforcement professionals. Building on the success of past academies, including the Senior Police Academy and Project Unify Police Academy, the department is for the first time offering an academy especially designed for teens.

This program was developed to give local teens insight into core police functions, day-to-day operations and a behind-the-scenes look at exploring law enforcement as a career. In addition, teens will engage in hands-on classroom activities designed to promote social interaction and confidence.
There is no fee to attend, however space will be limited. The program is open to all high school students ages 13 to 17. The Park Ridge Police Teen Academy will run from 4:00pm to 6:00 p.m. January 2nd – January 4th   2018. Interested applicants should contact Community Strategies Officer Ben Peterson at 847-318-5233 or at
