Changes made to City's recycling program at City Hall

The recycling program is offered through SWANCC and hosted by the City.  The program is for residential customers only.  In an attempt to manage this waste stream, the City has been asked to limit the number of bulbs it collects.  Each resident is limited to dropping off a total of 12 CFLs, 4’ fluorescent lights or a combination thereof, per visit.  Eight foot lengths are no longer being accepted.

In addition, when residents are dropping off items, photo I.D. will be required beginning June 7, 2018.  The photo I.D. must include their home address and reside within a SWANCC member community.

Collections occur on the first Thursday of every month from 8 am - 11 am in the foyer of City Hall.  The program is combined with battery recycling, and the prescription drug and sharps drop off.
