City of Park Ridge Volunteer Opportunities Available

The City is currently accepting applications to fill one position on the Civil Service Commission (3 year term),  one position on the Planning & Zoning Commission (to serve through 9/30/19), two positions on the Historic Preservation Commission ( 5 yr term), one position on the Appearance Commission (5 yr term) who must be an architect by profession, and one position on the Liquor License Review Board (to serve through 12/31/19).

You can view the responsibilities and qualifications by visiting the City of Park Ridge website, searching Boards and Commissions.   Interested individuals should complete an application, available online (search Boards & Commissions) or at City Hall.  Applicants are strongly encouraged to review past Board or Commission minutes to better understand the business that is conducted and the scope of the position.    

Completed applications should be returned to Deputy Clerk Peterson at cpeterson@parkridge.us or by fax, 847/318-5300 before April 9.  Any candidate recommended for appointment will be required to have a non-fingerprint criminal background check. 

Volunteers are an essential part of and a precious resource in our great City.  By donating your time and talent, you are contributing to the spirit of volunteerism within the community, making Park Ridge a better place to live and work.  The Mayor’s Advisory Board is chaired by Alderman Marc Mazzuca and members include Alderman John Moran, Ald.
