Community Health Commission to Host Virtual Blood Drive

January 20, 2021 12:00 PM
The Park Ridge Community Health Commission is partnering with Vitalant to host a virtual blood drive during December.  A virtual blood drive means that you can schedule your blood donation at a time and location that works for your busy schedule. We have set a goal of 30 blood donors for this blood drive and we need your help.

Sign up to donate through the end of January with the unique hyperlink below.  Be sure to copy the full link so we can track the number of donors who participate. Once you sign up via the link, you'll receive an emailed invitation to book your appointment at a time and location convenient to you.

The need for blood is especially high right now as the health crisis continues to impact patients. All successful blood donations are being tested for COVID antibodies so Vitalant can identify members of the community who may be eligible to give plasma to help patients with COVID-19. Donating blood is one of the easiest ways to help others. The actual donation time is about ten minutes but it will take about an hour from start to finish with screening questions and recovery time after donating.
