Solar Energy in Park Ridge

The City of Park Ridge is seeking designation with the SolSmart program funded by the U.S. Department of Energy SunShot Initiative.  This program helps local governments reduce barriers to solar energy growth and makes it easier for homes and businesses to go solar. The SolSmart designation is one of the ways we are meeting our commitment to become more sustainable under the Greenest Region Compact (GRC2).  Using solar energy reduces pollution, creates local jobs, can reduce costs, and adds resilience to the electric grid.

Energy Efficiency

To properly size a solar system, consider determining your property’s current level of energy performance and using utility programs to improve energy efficiency. Energy-efficient upgrades may include attic and wall insulation, lighting, appliances, building controls, hot water efficiency, and HVAC. Energy efficiency can reduce your utility bills and increase occupant comfort.
