Learning the New Liquor Code
As a reminder, two 90-minute training sessions have been planned that will highlight the changes made in the newly re-written Liquor Code. By the order of Acting Mayor/Liquor Control Commissioner Maloney, the owner and manager attend one session.
One session is planned for June 1 and another on June 18 at City Hall, both which begin at 8:00 a.m. Establishments need to attend one session. The City ‘s Attorney will present the new Liquor Code which is completely different than the one currently in use. The new code will become effective July 1, 2015. Due to the numerous enhancements that were made, by order of Acting Mayor Marty Maloney, Liquor Control Commissioner, attendance by the owner and manager of any establishment holding a Liquor License is mandatory.
New business owners are encouraged to attend. Establishments that currently hold a Liquor License have been emailed and/or sent notices.
