Useful information can be obtained at the Cook County Clerk's Office website.  You can register to vote or download a registration application, verify your registration, view the election schedule and your sample ballot, find out your polling location, review referendum information, or obtain a Vote by Mail application, and so much more!  Simply click on the link in the first line.    

The Clerk's office is happy to assist with in-person voter registration at City Hall during normal business hours for those who do not have access to a computer.  Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  You must be a citizen of the United States and at least 18 years of age by the next election.  Two forms of identification must be presented upon registering, neither of which need to be a photo ID, but one must include your current address.

If you require a Permanent Disability Placard, please complete the application and return it to the IL DMV at the address specified on the form.  If you have a temporary disability lasting NO LONGER than 90 days that requires a temporary placard, please complete the form, obtain your doctor's authorization and return it to City Hall.

The City Clerk, an elected official, attends meetings of the City Council, keeps records of its proceedings, and publishes and attests to all Ordinances and Resolutions passed by the City Council. The Clerk is the keeper of all important documents relating to City business.
