Recycling Event to be held at the Service Center on October 20, 2018

On Saturday, October 20, the City of Park Ridge and the Chamber of Commerce will host a Document Destruction and Electronics Recycling event at the Public Works Service Center, 400 Busse Highway from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This event is sponsored by SWANCC. To assist the Chamber of Commerce with its community projects and recycling efforts, a $5 donation is being requested, for which residents will receive a $5 coupon to use at select businesses for purchases made of $20 or more.

ACCEPTED ELECTRONICS:  answering machines, cable receivers, calculators, camcorders, cameras, CD and DVD players, cell phones, computer cables, computer monitors, computers - desktop/notebook/tablet, converter boxes, fax machines, keyboards, microwaves, mouse, MP3 players, portable digital assistants, power tools and cords, printers, satellite receivers, scanners, shredders, small home appliances such as toasters and blenders, non-wooden stereo equipment, telephones, televisions, typewriters, video game consoles, video recorders/players, and zip drives.

NOT ACCEPTED:  Dehumidifiers, humidifiers, air conditioners, vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, large appliances, copiers, postage machines, and lead acid batteries.
