Police Chief Frank Kaminski Announces Retirement After 14 Years

January 18, 2023 – Today Park Ridge Police Chief Frank Kaminski announced his retirement from the Park Ridge Police Department. His last day will be May 18, 2023.  Chief Kaminski has served in the role 14 years. He began his career with the City of Evanston, where he worked thirty-three years. 

In an e-mail to the department, Chief Kaminski said, “As I reflect on my time here in Park Ridge, I am confident that the positive culture we have developed will continue to thrive and that each of you will remain committed to serve by honoring your oath to the community through professionalism, respect, pride and dedication.”

Mayor Marty Maloney said, “I am excited for Chief Kaminski as he announces his retirement today. He has served the City extremely well for many years and we are all grateful for his service. His leadership was extremely valuable to the Department and helped provide a strong foundation for the men and women who serve us all. I know how much serving Park Ridge meant to him and I wish him all of the best in his retirement and for the time ahead that I know he will be enjoying with his family.”
