Resurfacing in the Uptown Area
The city will resurface 5,000 square yards of asphalt in Prairie Avenue parking lot and the adjacent alleys behind Main Street, as well as parking spaces along Summit from Ridge Terrace to Washington Avenue.
Concrete work will begin the week of April 17 with the removal of 650 feet of curb along Summit and the replacement of an alley apron on Garden Street west of Fairview Avenue.
The scope of the work includes replacement of an alley apron, patching portions of the alleys, pavement grinding and resurfacing.
The Prairie Avenue parking lot will be closed for a maximum of two days. Signs announcing the closure will be posted in advance. All work will be completed prior to the opening of the Farmers Market on May 27.
