During the pandemic,  many residents installed swings, ropes and other gymnastic type equipment in parkway trees.  The City understands that during this time there was limited available activities for children and as such we eased enforcement.  

However, due to public safety, tree health and liability concerns, the City of Park Ridge does not permit swings, ropes or other items to be installed in the parkway trees in accordance with Article 9-4-4 of the Park Ridge Municipal Code.

We ask for your cooperation by removing these items from the parkway tree(s) by Monday, August 16, 2021.  If the work is not completed by this date, the City will proceed to remove and dispose of the items.
