Park Ridge Police Arrest Suspect Using Counterfeit Money

On December 2, Park Ridge Police officers responded to the 100 block of south Prospect Ave. for the report of a subject attempting to use suspected counterfeit money. Officers located the suspect and after an investigation, determined that Kenyon O. Dobbins, 44 years of age, from the 100 block of S. Central, Chicago had successfully used a counterfeit one hundred dollar bill to make a purchase. After Dobbins was arrested, several additional suspect fraudulent one hundred dollar bills were located on his person. Dobbins was charged with one count of forgery (felony) and was taken for a bond hearing on December 4, 2014.
