Park Ridge Police Respond to Motor Vehicle Crash Where a Car Struck a Building

At approximately 10:00 a.m. on today’s date, Park Ridge Police officers responded to a crash in the 700 Block of North Northwest Highway. Upon arrival, officers observed one vehicle positioned up against the back of a home and another vehicle in the back yard resting against a fence and bushes. A preliminary  investigation revealed that a 30 year old Park Ridge man was driving southwest on Northwest Highway when he began to experience a medical emergency. He pulled his vehicle into a residential driveway in the 700 block. At some point thereafter, the driver states that he lost consciousness and woke to find emergency responders caring for him.

The investigation indicates that the victim’s vehicle pushed another vehicle, which was parked in the driveway, into the back of the home. The victim’s vehicle then proceeded, through the yard and came to rest against the rear fence.

The victim was transported to Lutheran General Hospital to receive care for his medical emergency and minor injuries sustained in the crash.
