Park Ridge Police to Host Burglary Prevention Information Meeting

The Park Ridge Police Department invites community members to the “Keepin’ it Real”  burglary prevention presentation on Wednesday November 20, 2013. It will be held in the City Council Chambers at 505 Butler Place and begins at 7:00 pm. This presentation is being offered by the Park Ridge Police Department in partnership with the Chicago Police Department and Illinois Department of Corrections.
The program will be presented by Chicago police officer M. Jointer, along with Illinois Department of Corrections inmates who are currently in the work release phase of their sentence. These individuals will present information about the crimes they have committed, their methods, selection criteria and what may have deterred them from breaking into a specific house or vehicle.
Audience members can participate in a question and answer session with the inmates in regards to burglaries and learn ways they can help to prevent them. This presentation is geared towards the community working together with law enforcement. For additional information, contact Officer Julie Genualdi at 847-318-5233 or visit
