Come Celebrate Social Security’s 80th Anniversary

Social Security is truly something to celebrate. For nearly 8 decades, it has never missed payment. It provides earned benefits to 59 million and keeps 22 million Americans – including 1 million children – out of poverty.

Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, Social Security Administration’s Acting Regional Commissioner, Phyllis Smith, and others will be at the Centennial Activity Center located at 100 S. Western Avenue on August 14 at 1:00 p.m. to express appreciation for Social Security and their commitment to protecting and expanding it for future generations.  Learn what’s new from SSA.  Social Security Administration staff will be on-hand to answer questions and help with any Social Security problems you may have. Refreshments will be served.

Please register at the Centennial Activity Center by calling (847) 692-3597 or at, Class # 43553.  This event is free.
